Three militants arrested in ongoing Qazigund operation: Police
SRINAGAR | NOV 16 (PTK): Kashmir police chief Muneer Ahmad Khan on Thursday said that three militants have been arrested so far during an ongoing operation in the forest area of Haalan-Kund area of Qazigund, in southern part of Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Khan while addressing a presser in Srinagar said that the operation began on Nov 14. “A militant and an army soldier were killed on the very first day of the operation.”
Khan identified the arrested militants as Atta Mohammad Malik, Shams ul Wiqar and Bilal Sheikh. He said that Atta was arrested in injured state and is presently hospitalized. “We think two more militants are still hiding in the area so operation is going on,” Khan said. (PTK)
