Self help group from Kupwara allege officials, others for tactical hurdles in tenders

KUPWARA, 02 NOV (PTK): A self help group desirous to submit Notice invitation for tenders (NIT) alleges that some of the influential persons create hurdles for them in Kupwara district of north Kashmir
They said that they very persons, having political patronage devoid them from applying for NIC No.13 in Irrigation and flood control department. They also alleged that the official of the department are also hand in glow besides playing game of political rivalry rendering self help group to suffer.
The group namely Himalayan Construction Company further alleges President of Association of Self-help Group, Mushtaq Ahmed of Kralpora Kupwara for deliberately creating tactical hurdles to stop them from applying for the NIT No. 13 in the district.
A spokesperson of the Himalayan Construction Company said, “We have been deliberately stopped from submitting for NIC. Some members of the association of Self Help enjoy political influences in Irrigation department”.
He said that despite their repeated pleas to the concern officials, nothing has been done, adding that the repeated pleas to the concern Xen have also fallen to deaf ears.
They requested higher authorities to look into the matter and cancel the said notice. When contacted Xen Irrigation, Mushtaq Ahmed over phone, he refused to comment over the issue. (PTK)
