Protest erupts against thrashing of butcher by forces in Pulwama

 

SRINAGAR | NOV 18 (PTK): Scores of protesters blocks Sangam road after a local butcher was allegedly beaten to pulp by Government forces for selling meat  at Rakh litter area of Pulwama on Saturday.

Reports said that dozens of vehicles were stranded on the road. They added that people in large number assembled to demand action against the erring forces personnel.

The Butcher has been identified as subzar Ahmed Mir son of Gulam Mohammad Mir resident of Rakh litter Pulwama said that three army men barged into his shop and started beating without any provocation. Later they left the shop and asked Subzar to stop selling meat of cows, they said. (PTK)
