Most of the roads in Mendhar are dilapidated conditions

Poonch 10 DEC (PTK): Belying tall claims of the government about providing better road connectivity in remote areas of  Mendhar Sub division of Poonch  District , majority of all roads across the Mendhar, Mankote and Balakote tehsils are in dilapidated condition.
The most important roads of Pathanateer Salwah and Pathanater Gursai roads of Mendhar sub division and other adjoining areas is dotted with potholes , lack of proper drainage system and Dust.
Mohd Bashir, Iqbal Khan , Mohd Naseer local residents of Salwah and Pathanater said that the condition of roads is extremely dilapated even as the districts is well represented in the government. They said due to bad condition of road and proper drainage system , walls , the common people of this area , commuters , especially students are facing problems. Due to this dilapiated condition of the roads the condition of vehicles also gets affected plying daily on these roads as the shockers of the vehicles get damaged and to repair them the commuters have to spend a lot of money on their .
Meanwhile, the residents alleged that the officials of the concerned Department , Administration & Government have not invited tenders for contruction of work.
And the area about 2-3 thousands of population but due to non-maintenance of roads , water pipes , drainage system , the condition has worsened , no one from authorities inquired about the condition , the locals said.
Residents have appealed District Development Commissioner Poonch , concerned department and government to intervene into the issue and make possible redressel of their problems(PTK).
