Kulgam boy putting up at Barzulla found dead, police begins probe



SRINAGAR, APR 20 (PTK): Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday said they have launched a probe after a boy was found dead at his temporary residence in Barzulla area of Srinagar.

An official said that the Shabnam Rasool, a resident of Yaripora Kulgam, was found lying on the floor at his rented room in Gulbarg colony Barzulla.

He was rushed by his co-tenants to SMHS hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival, said the official.

“The body was handed over to the legal heirs after completion of legal formalities,” he said, adding that inquest proceedings under 174 CrPc were initiated. (PTK)
