Handicapped persons rendered to suffer to get Aadhar card in Mendhar


SRINAGAR | DEC 19 (PTK):The residents of various parts of Rajouri and Poonch are suffering because of shortage of manpower in Aadhar cards centreestablished by district administrations of both districts and due to this they are facing many hardship in getting their Aadhar cards

They said thatthenonmaking of Aadhar cards and rejections in them also creates problems for residents of these two border districts. They said this has created hurdles for handicapped peoples to getaadhar cards.

It is pertinent to mention that Aadhar cards are making compulsory by government to get benefits under many schemes but it is as true that peoples are not gettingaadhar cards in proper manner due to shortage of man powers in aadharcentres

Handicapped Zahoor Ahmed resident of Glutha village of Mendhar area said that he is facinglot of problem due to shortage of manpower.
“I am visiting Aadhar centre on regular basis but nothing at the avail. I am facing lot of problems in getting benefits of various govt sponsored schemes”, he said.

They said that like Zahoor there are many locals who are not able to getaadhar cards. They are demanding that district administration should take appropriate action against the erring officials so that  this border district must able to get position of 100 percent aadhar seeded

Naib Tehsildar Mendhar Taruf Shah told PTK that there is procedure to get aadhar card and in that one has to fill form and then we have given them to come back again to fulfill other formalities.

He added that he had no knowledge about this issue and we are deeply concerned about any handicapped person if they are facing any problem. He assured members of handicapped that he will personally look in to this matter. (PTK)
