Girl among three injured after vehicles attacked with stones in south Kashmir


Srinagar | (PTK): A three-year-old girl was among three persons injured after miscreants pelted stones on a trailer and a truck in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday evening, police said.

“Today evening, some unknown miscreants pelted stones upon one Trailer bearing registration Number JK03E/3303 and one Truck at Botingoo Bijbehara, resulting in injuries to three persons including three year-old Sarika Jan,” said a spokesman.

Sarika Jan, daughter of Showkat Ahmed of Botingo, who was boarding the trailer, has suffered critical head injury, he said.

Two more persons, Aqib Ahmad Dar S/O Abdul Majeed R/O Maisuma Srinagar and   Zahoor Ahmad Dar S/O Ghulam Rasool R/O Bandipora were also injured in this incident.

All the injured, he said, were referred to District Hospital Anantnag, where from Sarika was referred to SKIMS Soura for specialized treatment.

He said that a case has been registered and a manhunt has been launched to nab the culprits. (PTK)
