Divisional Administration Kashmir issues weather advisory

Western Disturbance likely to affect JK from Dec 11-13

SRINAGAR, DEC 07(PTK): Divisional Administration Kashmir Thursday issued weather advisory according to which moderate to heavy snow is expected at most places in the State from December 11 to December 13, 2017.

“A western disturbance is approaching J&K and adjoining areas. This system is likely to affect J&K from 9th December onwards and produce moderate to heavy snowfall on 11, 12 and 13 December.”

The advisory asked concerned Deputy Commissioners of Kashmir Division have been asked to take all the precautionary measures in their respective districts.

“Therefore, it is enjoined upon all Deputy Commissioners, all concerned head of departments and district superintendents of police to activate their manpower and machinery and to be in a state of preparedness, so as to minimize disruption of essential services, road connectivity at the earliest, restoring electric supply, water supply, healthcare services etc,” reads the advisory(PTK).
