DDC reviews progress on CM’s directions

GANDERBAL, DEC 18(PTK): District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Dr. Piyush Singla today chaired a meeting of officers here to review the implementation of Chief Minister’s directions  regarding development works under Rural Development Department.

The meeting took stock of status of works which were announced by Chief Minister during public outreach programme held in the district on December 4.

The DDC asked the Block Development Officers to gear up their men and machinery for completion of these works within the stipulated time frame.  He reiterated the commitment of timely disposing the public grievances and said that necessary measures are being taken so as to comply with the directions of Chief Minister.

ACD Srinagar/ Ganderbal apprised the meeting that during the current fiscal Rs. 1847.02 lakh have been expended on 1743 works under MGNREGA in the District.

While reviewing the status of projects taken up under various schemes, the District Development Commissioner directed the officers to work with utmost dedication so that the set targets are achieved well in time.

Meanwhile, the DDC expressed dismay over the slow pace of works under convergence in Block Lar of the district.

The meeting was attended by ACD Srinagar/ Ganderbal, Jalal –ud-din Ganai, Executive Engineer Ganderbal, Block Development Officers and other concerned(PTK).
