Massive search operation in Shopian

SHOPIAN :Cordon and search operation launched in by government forces in about 8 villages of Shopian district after receiving inputs about the presence of the militants in the area. Official sources said that on specific information 8 villages of Shopian district which include chatripora, Vehil, nowgam, panduchan, kapran, rey kapran, dangam,wangam and its adjacent areas has been cordoned off in joint.

Militant hideout busted in Bandipora

SRINAGAR | (PTK): Police on Monday claimed to have busted a militant hideout in Chandergair village of Hajin in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district. A source said that a cordon-and-search-operation was launched by a joint team of forces around 10:30 pm last night. The operation was launched on the on the disclosure of a youth, namely Rayees Ahmad Baba, a resident of Bon-Mohalla.

Transporters say that shopkeepers have occupied parts of the roads and completely taken over pavements on the highway in Magam.
